Alexandra Maria Lara has been a Romanian/German television and film actress for a long time. Alexandra is famous for her the roles she played on Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Born as the only daughter to Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra got into the showbiz world early and was playing lead roles in different TV dramas before she turned 16. Her fame was due to her portrayal in Der Tunnel. This paved the way for other unforgettable roles, including Adolf Hitler's secretary of state Traudl Junge. Additional Oscar nominated films featuring the actress include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra worked on several important international and national projects throughout her career. These include British biographical film Control as well as The Dust of Time as in addition to the French historic miniseries Napoleon. In addition, she is a jury member at each of the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
