Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig in September 21 in 1983. She is an American Actress best known as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV show Lost. Maggie Grace, originally from Worthington located in Ohio left high school in order to move into Los Angeles after her divorced parents divorced. She was struggling to make ends meet when she got her first role in acting as Rachel's Room's lead character. Following her win of a Young Artist Award in 2002 due to her role of Murder in Greenwich of a 15-year aged Martha Moxley as a murder victim, she went on to take home the award. Grace was Shannon Rutherford on the Lost television series in 2004. She was the main role for two seasons, and also won the Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace wanted to focus on film after playing opposite Tom Welling's character in The Fog, in 2005. Grace has been on Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club both in 2007 and in Taken alongside Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. Her role was reprised for Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a contemporary adaptation of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace was Shannon once more in the show's finale and in two additional episodes. The actress was featured in 2013's six-season of Californication. The character she plays is Faith who's both the star-gazer and a the girl in the group. Hank Moody, played by David Duchovny, falls for her. As a member of the Gyllenhaal family She is the daughter of filmmakers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs and is the younger sibling of actor Jake Gyllenhaal. She started her acting career when she was a teenager, playing small parts in a few of her father's films and appeared alongside her brother in the popular cult film Donnie Darko (2001). Her next roles were in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, both 2002 and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal has received critical praise for her leading roles in Secretary (2002, erotic romantic drama), and Sherrybaby (606) Both of which earned the actress Golden Globe Award nods. After several commercially successful films in 2006 including World Trade Center she received more attention for her role as Rachel Dawes in the superhero film The Dark Knight (2008). The film was nominated to win an Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress due to her part on the film Crazy Heart, (2009). The roles she played in subsequent films include Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang and Hysteria. Her other roles include an agent in the action-thriller White House Down (2013), a Secret Service agent in the action thriller White House Down (2013) a musician in the film Frank (2014) and her role as the lead in the drama The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal's debut as a director and writer was in 2021 with The Lost Daughter, a psychological drama that won her an award at the Venice International Film Festival Best Screenplay Award. The film also received an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.
