Alexandra Maria Lara has been an Romanian/German film and television actress for over a decade. Alexandra is famous for her parts as a character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Born the only child to Romanian actress Valentin Platareu. Alexandra started her career in show business at an early age. When she reached the age of 16, Alexandra had landed prominent roles in a variety of TV dramas. She was praised for her performance on Der Tunnel. This paved for her to play other memorable roles, including Adolf Hitler's Secretariat Traudl Junge. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were both nominated for Oscars. Alexandra is engaged in numerous important projects both locally and internationally. Some of these include the British biographical movie Control, the Greek film The Dust of Time, as well as the French historic miniseries Napoleon. In addition, she has been an official juror for the Transylvania International Film Festival as and The Cannes Film Festival.
